January in Lille

I remember some time in January when the light was so warm during that winter day. It's not for nothing that winter light is the one I prefer and by far, because the sky is so clear, cold and sunlight is pure gold.

During midday, the sunlight was still white-ish and brought some color when hitting that symmetrical concrete block.

Lille streets are packed of architecture cutenesses, you just need to look a bit above your head and wish for a good lighting.

Winter is the only moment when you could shoot directly against the light during the day without ending up with a burnt (way overexposed) photo.

A bit further, the sweet sun is enlighting some of my favourite buildings.

At this moment, my inspiration source started to fade away and I knew I had only a couple tens of minute left to enjoy.

Probably the favourite of the day: in a parking lot, the last sunrays were reflecting over car hoods. It was truly a wondeful moment even thought people wouldn't understand why some guy was taking pictures in the middle of the cars.

With the sun that low, the light changes every 30 seconds and each trigger gets a different color tone.

Until it's finally gone and with the only souvenir you get from it, is a travel agency name containing the word "sun". How comical...
